4th May 2022 Stamp Sale Auction Report

6th May 2022

Just like the temperatures this week, our fifth stamp sale of the year live on EasyLive was hot, hot hot!

Kicking off with the ever strong Collections and Miscellaneous section, lot 1 got us started with a bang. Selling at £1100, £750 over estimate, this world collection set the bar high.

Not to be outdone, the Foreign Countries packed no punches with lot 217 ‘Post Offices in Crete’ an Austria lot achieving well over double the estimate with a hammer price of £400.

The star of the show, however, had to be the outstanding China section all in all selling for over £21,000 with lot 228 taking the lion share selling for £12,000 over estimate achieving a hammer price of £14,500. A fantastic achievement and a momentous occasion for all our stamp experts here at Warwick and Warwick and for stamp collectors and dealers of the world!
