Warwick and Warwick are concluding the 2016 series of stamp auctions with a true Christmas cracker. Buyers of high quality Great Britain classics will be particularly pleased with the stamps on offer.

The auction catalogue includes numerous 1840 1d blacks incl various plate ranges, better cancels, multiples, on cover, colour trials, singles, etc.

The 1d reds & 2d blues on offer include examples mint, in multiples, with number in cancel, plate reconstructions, etc.

The surface printed includes 1867-83 anchor £1 on blued paper, on white paper, £5 orange (6), 1884 £1 (6), 1887-92 £1 (5).

Excellent examples of the 1867-83 £1 watermark Anchor.

Almost as impressive is the King Edward VII choice up to £1, King George V with 1913 Waterlow £1 and 1929 PUC £1.

Similarly the Officials include an 1884-8 IR 10/- & IR specimen £1.

Other items of particular interest include 1840 rainbow colour trials 1d and 1887-92 imperf plate proof.
