Major Wrenn OO gauge collection to be auctioned by Warwick & Warwick on the 16th May 2018.

One of the most comprehensive Wrenn OO gauge collections will feature in the Wednesday 16th May Collectables auction at Warwick & Warwick auctioneers. Over 100 Wrenn lots, many mint and boxed, are available to suit all model railway enthusiasts’ budgets.

Amongst the lots offered for sale are locomotives No. W2293 (Ramsay L7) LMS matt black 6141 Caledonian Royal Scot Class 6P, estimated at £700 and No. W2301 (Ramsay L9) LMS blue 6221 Queen Elizabeth Streamlined Coronation 8P Class, of which only 200 were made, with an estimate of £550.

George and Richard Wrenn, both engineers, established the company, G & R Wrenn, in the fifties, originally in London, moving to Basildon in 1955. The model railway products quickly gained a strong following amongst enthusiasts, who appreciated high quality model railway engineering.
