Warwick & Warwick's very successful Wrenn OO gauge sale on the 16th May 2018.

23rd May 2018

A large Wrenn OO gauge collection was the highlight of the recent Collectables auction at Warwick & Warwick auctioneers. Over 90% of the Wrenn lots were sold on Wednesday 16th May, realising over £22,000.

The ‘star’ of the Wrenn sale was Lot 910, a mint and boxed LNER grey 4489 Woodcock locomotive and tender that realised £700, over £200 above the original estimate. G&R Wrenn produced this A4 Class Pacific locomotive between 1989 to 1992, with reportedly only 173 examples made.

George and Richard Wrenn, both engineers established the Company, G&R Wrenn in the Fifties originally in London, moving to Basildon in 1955. The model railway products quickly gained a strong following amongst enthusiasts, who appreciated high quality model railway engineering.
