Public Stamp auctions are held monthly. 2012 sales are on February 1, March 7, April 4, May 2, June 13, July 4, August 1, September 5, October 3, November 7 and December 5. Public auctions of Coins and Banknotes, Medals and Militaria are held six times a year. 2012 sales will be on February 15, April 18, June 20, August 15, October 17 and December 12. Public auctions of Postcards, Cigarette Cards and Trade Cards, Autographs and Printed Ephemera, Toys and Die-Cast Models and Model Railways are held six times a year. 2012 sales will be on March 21, May 23, July 18, September 19 and November 14.

The David D. Ingle collection of 175 mainly gallantry and casualty lots, formed in the 1960s and 1970s, was offered in our 14th December 2011 auction. This WWI Albert medal was estimated at £6,000 and realised £7762.

These Bassett-Lowke tin plate O gauge wagons were offered in our last auction, on January 18.

The “Esso” wagon (boxed) made £575 and the unboxed “Pratt’s Spirit” wagon made £460.

In our last die cast auction, held on Wednesday 18 January, this scarce Shackleton mechanical Foden F.G. platform lorry, with box, original instructions, spanner and key, estimated at £320, realised £368.
