Warwick and Warwick Die Cast, Model Soldiers and Toys Auction Report 19th May 2021

The current COVID-19 heath crisis has led many companies to change their practices to bring them into line with the current government safety guidelines. So, for the safety of our customers and our staff, our 19 May 2021 Die Cast, Model Soldiers and Toys sale was a closed-door auction, with no room bidders allowed. There was still plenty of interest in the auction however with a plethora of book bids and a great number of bidders on the telephone.

We began with our toys section and this pair of Meccano No. 0 Aeroplane built as Seaplanes which realised £192.

           

In our models section this Britains Racing Colours of Famous Owners ‘Mr F. T. Halse’ achieved £660 and this ‘Larch Hill Stables’ sold for £552. This Timpo Wild West 7thCavalry Field Ambulance Wagon No. 277 realised £192.

            

Moving on to the die cast section this Corgi James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5 No. 261 achieved £324. This The Man from UNCLE Gun Firing Thrush Buster No. 497 realised £192 and this Lotus Racing Team No. GS37 sold for £252.

  

In the Dinky section this 1930s onwards re-painted and re-transferred set of 6 Tram Cars No. 27 achieved £300 and this Thunderbirds Lady Penelope FAB1 No. 100 realised £348.
