We are delighted to announce that we have donated the sum of £1350.00 to FareShare. This is a result of our recent charity lots entered in to our auction. Charity lots are made up of a number of lower value items which have been kindly donated by our customers. FareShare are very grateful to receive this donation at this difficult time.
FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 17 independent organisations. Together, they take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to almost 11,000 frontline charities and community groups.
The food redistributed is nutritious, in-date and good to eat. It reaches charities across the UK, including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes. Every week FareShare provide enough food to create over a million meals for vulnerable people.
Our donation will provide 5400 meals to those in need at this difficult time.
