Looking into 5th Octobers stamp sale.

Looking though our next stamp sale for interesting lots brought me to Zanzibar lot 318.

Ranges like this do not appear very often and lots with postmark interest are usually popular.

A second lot with an unusual pmk is GB lot 592.

Our GB LE expert, Joseph Cottriall came across this scarce 1844 type cancel in violet from Bishop Auckland, whilst looking though a collection of covers. It is catalogued at £16,000.
