Specimen banknotes to be offered in our 21st February 2018 auction

A selection of scarce specimen banknotes are to be offed in our 21st February 2018 auction.

This East African Currency Board 1964 issue, punch hole cancelled specimen set of 4, with ‘SPECIMEN’ in red printed on both sides and housed in a De la Rue, London leather type presentation folder is estimated at £800. 

 

This Gambia ‘First Issue of Currency Notes - 5th October 1964’ set of 6 specimen notes, is estimated at £350. 

 

And this Bank of Sierra Leone 1964 issue set of 3 uncirculated banknotes, housed in a De la Rue, London leather type presentation folder is estimated at £400.
