The Jaeger collection, to be offered in our 21 January postcard auction includes a spectacular section of road transport cards, with collections of motorcars, bicycles, motorbikes, petrol and tyres, as well as comic. In total 8 collections are on offer with estimates totalling £7,550. Many of the collections include original poster advert postcards by pre-eminent artists of the day. The petrol collection includes 19 Shell adverts, plus 3 German Shell cards and 11 Pratt’s.
Amongst the real photographic cards is this 1920s car factory interior.
