What is on the menu? Charming and rare 1902 'menu' stamp to be offered in our upcoming January 8th stamp sale.

Featuring in our upcoming Wednesday 8th January 2020 sale is the very scarce 1902 De La Rue 2/6d lilac with ‘Hotel Cecil Philatelic Dinner 5th June 1902 Menu’ underprint. The stamp features a miniature full menu listing printed on the reverse including dishes such as Mock Turtle, Saddle of Mutton and Anchovies on Toast. With only a few noted sales in recent past this particular stamp is extremely rare and of great interest to collectors of British and King Edward VII issues.

Our full January 8th 2020 catalogue can be found on our website alongside instructions on how you can place bids. For further updates on our latest auction news check our Twitter and Facebook pages.
