Yesterday Warwick and Warwick auctions hosted our 18th March Toys, Cigarette Card and Postcards sale and with it came some spectacular lots. Today we will be highlighting only a few from the sale.
Firstly, our cigarette card section, showcased amongst a wide range of lots, a classic set by Marsuma, Famous Golfers and their Strokes. This unique set very rarely comes up for auction and is sought after by collectors of sports cards. Lot 50 was sold for a total hammer price of £500.
In our postcard section, we had a few collections from around the UK, but none more impressive than Lot 102 featuring this magnificent Yorkshire collection. With cards highlighting some of the smaller towns in Yorkshire, showing off milestones or capturing the aftermath of disasters, this will make a fine addition to a collection. Lot 102 was sold for a hammer price of £1,800.
In our toys section, we once again had a wide range of Star Wars figurines, including Lot 240 Boba Fett by Kenner. This classic character is still mint in its bubble pack box, being released a long long time ago in a galaxy not so far away many people still look for these retro collectables. Lot 240 was sold at auction for a total of £120.
Next, we move onto our Die Cast range, Lot 339 brought us two vintage Corgi Models, No. 242 and 323. Both being in great condition with their original boxes makes for a very exciting purchase for our collector. Lot 339 sold for a hammer price of £350
Finally, we get to our model railway section, highlighting this fantastic O gauge Hornby locomotive. The Princess Royal Class locomotive with tender boasts excellent condition, with the box to come alongside it. This lot sold for a total of £900. Thank you for participating in our latest auction.
