Warwick and Warwick Die Cast, Model Soldiers and Toys Auction Report 17th March 2021

The current COVID-19 heath crisis has led many companies to change their practices to bring them into line with the current government safety guidelines. So, for the safety of our customers and our staff, our 17th March 2021 Die Cast, Model Soldiers and Toys sale was a closed-door auction, with no room bidders allowed.

There was a great deal of interest in the auction with many bidders placing book bids and over 50 bidders on the telephone during in the sale.

We began with the toys section which included this unusual Century 21 Toys (Jack Rosenthal) Gerry Anderson’s Thunderbirds Zero-X Five-Toys-in-One model which realised £312.

In the model soldiers and figures section highlights included this Britains Special Collectors Edition World War I aircraft set which sold for £156 and this Britains Lambeth Walk Dancing Couple achieved £288.

Moving on to the die cast section, of particular note was this Corgi Ecurie Ecosse Gift Set No. 16 which realised £192. This Ruston Bucyrus Excavator No. 975 sold for £180 and this Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Gift Set No. G-6 achieved £192.

Our next die cast, model soldiers and toys auction will be held on Wednesday 19th May 2021. The full catalogue for this sale will be on our website in the next few weeks or keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages which will include updates of our latest auction news.
