Warwick and Warwick Model Railway Auction Report 22nd January 2020

It was our first Model Railway auction of 2020 and our customers proved to be very happy with the 320 lots on offer. 

We began with the live steam section. Highlights included this scratch built 2½ inch gauge ‘Flying Scotsman’ locomotive and tender which realised £1,320

 

This lovely scratch built 3½ inch gauge 0-6-0 tank locomotive sold for £900.

 

And this unusual and scratch build model of a c1894 Gainsborough Urban District Council Fire Engine achieved £750.

 

In the O gauge section this DJH limited edition factory built ‘Silver Fox’ locomotive and tender realised £900.

 

This Hornby No. 1 Special 0-4-0 tank locomotive sold for £468.

 

And this No. 2 Special 4-4-0 LNER 235 ‘Yorkshire’ locomotive and tender achieved £576.

 

Moving on to the OO/HO gauge section this Hornby Dublo E3002 electric locomotive realised £348.

 

This Wrenn LMS 46221 ‘Queen Elizabeth’ locomotive and tender sold for £660.

 

This BR 46244 ‘King George VI’ locomotive and tender achieved £420.

 

And this unusual SR 21C107 ‘Wadebridge’ locomotive and tender realised £750.
