Warwick and Warwick Model Railway Auction Report 18th May 2016

20th May 2016

The heavy rain did nothing to dampen the spirits of buyers at our May Model Railway auction. The auction room was particularly busy with over 300 lots for keen bidders to choose from.

We began with the real steam section and this attractive Bowande (Wuhu Brand Arts) gauge 1 BR 60018 ‘Sparrow Hawk’ A4 Class locomotive and tender which realised £1,888.

And this Bassett-Lowke O gauge LMS Stanier ‘Mogul’ 2945 locomotive and tender sold for £401.

In the O gauge section this Bassett-Lowke electric LMS 1082 Standard Compound locomotive and tender achieved £153.

And this Hornby clockwork Southern A759 locomotive and tender realised £330.

Moving on to the OO gauge section this unusual Crownline LNER 2001 ‘Cock O’ The North’ locomotive and tender sold for £306.

Hornby Dublo models proved popular with this GWR 5002 ‘Ludlow Castle’ locomotive and tender achieving £236.

And this LNER 4498 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’ locomotive and tender realised £200 despite not having its original box.

In the Wrenn section this BR 5090 ‘Neath Abbey’ locomotive sold for £141.

And this LMS 6102 ‘Black Watch’ locomotive and tender achieved £129.
