We had a fantastic sale on Wednesday with some great bidding!

The cigarette card section sold brilliantly, with the mixed lots and individual sets attracting a lot of interest. Lot 5, a mixed collection boasting over 13 albums of cards, sold for a fantastic £2,200.

The named sets also caught the eyes of the buyers with lot 54, a F&J Smith part set with Footballers Cup Tie, selling for £240.

The postcard section of the sale always showcases some very interesting lots. Highlights included lot 77, containing a massive 129 boxes! This lot sold for £1,800.

The model soldier section included a good range of King & Country with many lots achieved their estimate and higher. Lot 188, a Michael Wittman's Last Tiger Tank No WS43 sold for £190. Lot 194 sold for £230 and contained a "Panzer" Meyer's Command Halftrack and figures No WS077.

Moving on to the die cast models section, Lot 246, a collection of earlier boxed Dinky cars, including Sunbeam Alpine Sports No 107, Rover 75 Saloon No 156, Ford Zephyr Saloon No 162, Sunbeam Rapier Saloon No 166, Singer Gazelle No 168, Studebaker Golden Hawk No 169, Studebaker President Sedan No 179, etc. This lot sold for £675.

The Model Railway section always sells well, and this auction was no exception.

We had a really impressive DJH section with the locomotives professionally built and painted. The section ranged from lot 332-367.
