Exceptional specialist Sweden booklet collection

In our auction on the 3rd of September we will be offering arguably the finest collection of Swedish booklets available outside Scandinavia. Impressive both in its range and fine condition, this is a rare opportunity for specialist collectors to acquire many of the exceptional & valuable booklets available. Sweden has a long history of issuing booklets having been the second country to issue a booklet in 1898.

The collection offered in 68 lots, with 3 large collections covering 1918-57 (approx 150 booklets Est £4,000), 1954-72 (approx 220 booklets Est £3,000) and a large quantity of mainly modern booklets (Est £4,500. with only 45 examples issued, it is one of the rarities of Estonia philately and will be offered in our January 7th sale.

 The other lots are individual booklets from 1904-53 with many particularly rare and high catalogue items. Of particular note, this 1939 Royal Palace 200kr (Facit specialised catalogue ref H22b (R) Kr 145,000) with an estimate of £2,700.

1941-6 Royal Palace 200kr (Facit H44C (CB) Kr 30,000) estimated at £1,300.

1916 Landstorm 10kr (Facit H51, Kr 45,000) estimate £900.

 The modern collection is in 4 albums and covers issues to around 2010 and includes, cylinder numbers, sned varieties, covers, errors, etc, and will be fully appreciated only by careful inspection.
