Superb collection of 19th and 20th century gold coins to be offered by Warwick and Warwick in their 9th December sale

We have been instructed to sell a superb collection of 19th and 20th century gold coins in our 9th December 2020 ‘closed doors’ auction, which has taken the owner decades to assemble.

The collection offered as ‘The property of a Gentleman’ contains over 550 coins individually lotted, including many rarities.

     

Highlights include this 1923 South Africa set and this 1937 proof set of 4.

     

Highlights of the £2 coins offered including this 1826 and this 1902 matt proof.

 

Sovereigns include this 1825 bare headed proof, this 1831 proof, a 1838, a 1839 proof, a 1839, this 1841, the rare 1859 Ansell variety and this 1917 London mint.

 

And half sovereigns include this 1862 second young head and this 1918P in high grade.

Due to the current government COVID-19 restrictions our 9th December 2020 coin auction will be held ‘behind closed doors’, with no public allowed to attend on the day of the auction.

Please note viewing (subject to government guidelines) for this auction will be on Friday 4th, Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th December 2020 only.
